Mary Ann Teal possibilities

Looking at the 1851 census I have two Mary Ann Teal's living with their parents.

James, Elizabeth living in Holme On The Wolds, Yorkshire, England Holme On The Wolds Yorkshire

George, Ann living in Knaresbro, Yorkshire, England Knaresborough Yorkshire

Looking for more on Mary Ann Teal Born Approx 1836 Hull Yorkshire

I have decided to have a little look for Mary Ann Teal on the backward branches of my tree. Having spent the last week or soo filling in some gaps on they Ayre branches I thought it might be nice to go back along the Teal ones. Which is where I hit a problem.

There are two possibles on the 1841 and 1851 censuses, so I'm going to have to do some detective work on both of them to see if I can figure out which is which, especially as her birth was probably before 1837.

Ephriam now has proud place at the top of my Unusual Names list, replacing Ritson Taylor who was born in 1894 in Sunderland and the son of Peter Taylor and Esther Leedham. I think they are both pretty unusual names but I think Ephriam just about pips Ritson to the post! Come to think of it maybe I should post up my Unusual Names, mgiht be fun !! :o)

I also stumbled accross a possible marriage for John W Ayre, born 1877. While searching the Yorkshire BMD which is a great website for all your Yorkshire BMD queries!! I found a marriage in 1912 between John W Ayre and Alice Pocklington which stood out like a sore thumb being as Johns mothers maiden name was Pocklington. Have put it on my list of things to investigate !! *dons Inspector Morse cap*

I also wonder if William and Sarah had another child Frances Pocklington Ayre born and died in 1872. Another one for investigation!

I have been having lots of fun with the Ayre family today :o)

Reasonably easy to find on the censuses and on BMD records (thanku free BMD) I always seem to find free BMD the easiest site to search.

It's nice sometimes to just sit and add people from a branch of my tree without any pressure to try to find a particular person (I think I am referring to the ongoing search for the McDonnell's here LOL)

I'm eyeing the clock and thinking it might be time to go to bed :o)
