New Surnames

There's been a bit a lull in research as I recently "did my back in" resulting in an inability to move a couple of weeks ago!!! It's getting a bit better every day and the osteopath said I've damaged a disc, but not horrendously - The doctor said "have some pills"

Anyway I'm on the mend and have been looking a bit further into my partners side of the family tree, surnames and area's as below!

Aspery - London & Birmingham
Burford - Herefordshire & London
Halbeard - London & Birmingham
Hardy - London & Somerset
Hunt - Hertfordshire & London
Jenkins - London & Somerset
Marklew - Birmingham
Permain - London
Skelding - Birmingham
Tupman - London & Somerset

If you'd like more info on the surnames above drop me an email!

I also hope there is someone else out there looking at the Permain surname who might be pleased to find a hit rather than Google asking if you mean "permian" So annoying LOL !!

Something interesting I've found is that (subject to a marriage certificate to confirm) my gr gr gr grandfather in law was a successful paper mache manufacturer and japanner, until he went bust, ended up in prison and then worked as a clerk. I am loving the access to the 19th century newspapers online via my library!!
