Hi all *waves*

Not much genealogy being done at the moment, it's the school holidays and so I'm being kept quite busy.

I'm hoping to write a bit on the Taylor branch of my tree soon but it may be a couple of weeks or so before I get around to it. Damn real life getting in the way of my family history researching LOL

Anyway, if anyone has any pictures of Shiney Row in Sunderland from around the 1920's to 1930's that would be fab if you could mail them to me, or of Murton Street, Sunderland from the same time period. If anyone arrives here searching the Taylor family from Northumberland, or Sunderland drop me a mail (address top right of the page) I am also looking for more information on Mary Donaldson, born in Northumberland (Belford)

Am also still searching for details on the McDonnell's (McDonnell, McDonel, McDonnel, McDonell, MacDonnell, McDonald, MacDonald's - or any other varient spellings LOL) from Leeds, then Sculcoates.

Summer Holidays

Morning all *waves*

I've not done much genealogy over the last few days, it's the start of the school holidays and I have some time off work and am going to try to get some decorating done. It's good to give the braincells a rest from searching through censuses too. I tend to go at it for days looking and searching and then I get genealogists block LOL. A few days doing something else and I usually find what I'm looking for first time when I come back to it!

Harry Potter

Morning !!

Not much doing on the genealogy front over the last couple of days, I have been too busy reading the new Harry Potter with no TV, pooter or papers in case they spoilt the ending LOL

Phil queued at the local Tesco at midnight and picked us up two copies, so we didn't have to share LOL and I stayed up till nearly 3am reading. The up first thing Saturday morning to finish it off. Managed to finish by 7pm. Would have been earlier if I didn't have stuff to do LOL

I'm not spoilering the end or any of it here, but it was good !!!!

The Tooth Fairy Visits

Did you know the going rate for the tooth fairy is now a quid *eek* LOL :o)

This is the occupation of Mary's father George, and I'm having trouble reading what it says. I've also yet to find a census with her father listed as anything which looks similar.
